Research & Development

ACPPA Research

ACPPA has been involved in a range of research to date and values any opportunity to continue to develop research projects and seek feedback from our members and stakeholders.

In 2021, ACPPA partnered with tatu, Australian Catholic University and University of Notre Dame to undertake a research project about Initial Teacher Education.

ACPPA has also partnered with the ACU Institute of Positive Psychology in supporting the Australian Principal Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing Survey.

The ACPPA members are invited every year to participate in the ACPPA Member Survey. This is distributed in August each year, with results used to assist in the implementation and future growth of the ACPPA strategic plan.

Initial Teacher Education

In 2021 ACPPA undetook a significant piece of research work in cooperation with Australian Catholic University (ACU), University of Notre Dame (UNDA) and the National Catholic Education Commission (NCEC).

This research harnessed the voice of Catholic Primary Principals to share their perspectives and thoughts about how ITE is perceived in our schools and what things need to change.
